There isn't enough I can say about well organized and structured the classes are and how much the instructors put into making you the best you. I truly enjoy my time there and the community of people you meet. Burke's is a great place to be I love it.

This place is amazing, have been coming here for about 3 weeks with my husband for Muay Thai and we love it, we always have a good time. Instructors are very helpful and always there to help you out. Yes, classes are very challenging, especially to someone who never did any martial arts before, but that's the beauty of it all! Great workout, and I'm happy to be learning something new.

Coming from a basic martial arts background (5years of shotokan karate) back when I was in middle school, I really missed martial arts, the discipline, workout, and learning of an art.

Fast forward about 15 years to about 3 weeks ago, I was searching for a place to get back into martial arts, and after about an hour of calling a bunch of places, just to hear that none of them have Muay Thai classes that work with my work schedule, I found Burke’s. The schedule with them works so well with my work schedule, I get 3 workouts a week!

Mr. Burke, and Mr. Brian are both extremely intelligent men with immense knowledge of the art. They both take the time to thoroughly explain the techniques and how they should be performed to be an optimal martial artist. Not to mention they make the classes into a grinding cardio workout, so you never leave the gym dry lol.

I definitely recommend Burke’s for your martial arts needs, whether you’re a competitive fighter, or looking to learn the ropes and build your self up into the art!

I've always wanted to train muay thai but was never really able to find a gym that specialized in that form of training. Then I found Burkes and I'll tell you, I was not disappointed. I absolutely love it. the staff is amazing, the students are dedicated and some really amazing people, and I definitely cant argue with the results I've been getting and feeling. I look forward to training there for a long time

Awesome place. Awesome people. I only started a month ago, but I am so happy to be part of it. Mr. Burke and coach Ian are absolutely amazing, they have a lot of patient to teach you and actually wanna make sure you are doing it right. I was so shy at the beginning because everyone looks so good and professional, but then I noticed how everyone was so welcomed and how Muay Thai is not something only about fight but about focus as well. Best place to challenge yourself and change your lifestyle (at least is changing mine). Out of my comfort zone, making me improve everyday a little bit, enjoying every class annnnnd losing some weight lol.
Loved it! Thanks for bringing me back to a happy fitness life!

Short answer; absolutely not! We have members of all health and fitness levels, and our classes are designed to fit around each one of these levels.

The only thing we ask is that you bring your best attitude when you come to one of our classes. If you have the mental framework determined to become physically healthy, that is all we want to see. Our trainers will help you get into the best shape of your life!

Do I need any kickboxing experience?

No, we love teaching new members. There is no better way to gain respect from our community than someone who has the will to join our class without any experience. If you can take that first step, you have already proven to our group that you are a strong-minded individual. We will teach you everything you need to know.

Does the physical training include weights or machines?

Most of the training comes from the natural, isotonic, aerobic, anaerobic, and isometric exercises, although, some weight training may be recommended or used. These exercises help our members with losing weight and toning the whole body; our focus is for you to develop speed, flexibility, and force.

What should I wear or bring?

Sweats and a T-shirt, or yoga attire, work best. You’ll also want to bring a towel and a bottle of water. And of course bring the mental attitude that you’re going to kill this workout!

How often should I attend classes?

We understand how busy your life can be; we would love to see you at least once a week. We believe once a week will be a good start for you to build your overall endurance and capability to implement the basic kickboxing moves.

Once you have built the basic foundation of the Kickboxing moves, we encourage you to then increase the amount of frequency and intensity of your workouts. We want you to go at your own pace, but make sure to challenge yourself to see the best results.
